Before beginning her career in insurance, she worked in banking at B1 Bank and spent two years teaching. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a degree in Political Science in 2022.
She lives in Rayville with her husband, George Word, and their two children, Sawyer and Stella.
